CARLTON DROP TO 20TH AFTER PUNISHING DEFEAT!

The positivity in the Carlton camp following last weeks excellent win over Chasetown and the forthcoming Chairmans celebration after 15 years at the helm of Carlton Town felt a million miles away after this poor defeat which leaves in the Millers in deep trouble near the bottom of the table.

Manager Wayne Scott (pictured) made 3 changes to the team which had beaten Chasetown with Nangle, Smithson and Wooley coming in for Graham, Rae and Gorman, but it was Kidsgrove who took a controversial lead in the 19th minute through Clayton, but the Millers faithful, believed there should have been an offside decision in their favour in the build up to the goal and made their feelings known to the assistant on the near side who they claimed was behind the play.

Kidsgrove supporters close by backed up the opinion of an off side, but in truth the Millers did not do nearly enough to get something from this game and when Mills added a 2nd on 55 after outpacing Keane , the game was heading towards another Millers league defeat.

Schoenecker should have pulled a goal back late on after great work by substitute Graham and Josh Rae also impressed coming off the bench but the fact is, Carlton have not built on a great victory the week before and once again find themselves in a position they would sooner not be in!

Despite current struggles, Millers Chairman Mick Garton is looking forward to the 15th anniversary event with Josh Hodgson and Gaz Bee hosting and all supporters are invited to the clubhouse from 2pm onwards this Sunday 16th October.
