TROPHY WIN SPECIAL FOR ONE MILLERS SUPPORTER!

Promotion Confirmed

ST IVES TOWN IN NEXT ROUND FOR CARLTON !

Carlton Towns 3-1 win over Chasetown was special indeed for one Millers supporter who had already told Carlton Chairman Mick Garton he would sponsor the St Ives Town clash on Saturday 29th October at Stoke Lane if the Millers could overcome Chasetown.

Dean Gripton had been deciding on a way to celebrate his 50th birthday and was desperate for Carlton to win the game so he could celebrate in style and support his team at the same time.

Gripton has booked out the entire corporate suite and Jamie and the bar team will have 20 guests to look after,  before the devoted Carlton fans moves his party into the Clubhouse Sportsbar for an evening bash with a further 30 guests set to arrive and this website understands, supporters club chief Alan Murphy could well be taking to the decks to spin the evenings tunes.

The clash with St Ives will be the first ever meeting between the sides and is sure to create added interest and will mark a barnstorming 48 hours for the Millers coming the day after the Firework Extravaganza at Stoke Lane.

If Carlton are to make further progress in the competition, they will have to be at their best, St Ives are an Evostick Southern Premier League club, but either way, Gripton and his guests are looking forward to celebrating in style and hoping Niall Davie can repeat his man of the match performance.

Carlton are at home again next Saturday when Kidsgrove visit Stoke Lane and manager Wayne Scott will be hoping they can follow up with an equally impressive performance and put more league points on the board.

Scott also revealed that Striker Julian Topliss has joined Rainworth and that the club had received a 7 day approach from Long Eaton United for striker Shaun Rickford who has not featured in recent games and this websites also understands Rickford made his 200th appearance for Long Eaton United over the weekend and has indeed left the club.

The club wishes both Julian and Shaun all the very best for the future!
