WALKER BRACE BUT CARLTON FALL SHORT!

Promotion Confirmed

ACADEMY STAY TOP AFTER AWAY POINT AT SHERWOOD!

Carlton failed to build on their excellent win on Saturday going down 3-2 at home to unbeaten Gresley Fc.

Carlton Town Press Officer Josh Hodgson told us " I was very impressed with Gresley, I could see why they are unbeaten, their front 3 caused us all sorts of problems and credit must go to our keeper Jack Steggles for some great saves"

Courtney Meade gave Gresley a 57th minute lead but Kieran Walker soon pulled Carlton level.

"That was our best chance of getting something from the game, we had a good spell after the equaliser and could have taken the lead but when Mwanyongo got their second, it gave them the upper hand again and the third goal by that man Meade again sealed it before Walkers late consolation"

" I would expect Gresley to be in the mix at the end of the season, I was really impressed with them" concluded Hodgson.

On a positive note, Carltons academy under 21s side picked up a point away at Sherwood Colliery FC and remain top of the league after 3 unbeaten games.

Carlton are back on the road Saturday when they visit Shaw Lane Aquaforce and supporters have the chance to travel on the team coach which is leaving the ground at 11.45am on Saturday, the cost is £10 per person and can be paid on the day.
