SCOTT PLEASED WITH FINAL WORKOUT!

Promotion Confirmed

MILLERS DRAW WITH IDEAL OPPONENTS BAMBER BRIDGE!

Carlton Town manager Wayne Scott admitted that Carlton could not have had better opponents for their final pre season friendly than Bamber Bridge.

"It was a really good competitive contest and hopefully benefitted both sides, they were a good set of lads and gave us the ideal test ahead of the new season"

"We picked up a couple of knocks which is unfortunate, but I could not have asked for a better game in terms of preparation, we will train well this week and then decide on the starting line up for next Saturday" said Scott.

Goals for Danny Gordon and Curtis Millward either side of two goals from Bamber Bridge were the story of the game and meant Carlton have only lost to Notts County and Mansfield Town in pre season, both by the odd goal.

Scott will be hoping they can take that form into the new season when it really matters and the first port of call is at their own Bill Stokeld Stadium on Saturday 13th August v Loughborough Dynamo at 3pm.
