MILLERS FIGHT BACK FROM 2 DOWN TO BEAT NIRVANA!

Promotion Confirmed

3-2 WIN IN FIRST GAME ON THE ROAD!

Although results are not the be all and end all in pre season matches, the fact the Millers won at Leicester Nirvana in their first away outing will hold some relevance.

Two years ago, then manager Les Mcjannet took the team to the same away fixture and it was described by many as a shambolic performance which set the tone for a season of struggle.

The status quo remained for much of last season, but those 4 away wins towards the end of the campaign when Carlton were in real relegation trouble will hopefully have been the catalyst for what is to come!

What has come so far is a much better pre season with an outstanding list of fixtures and some decent performances.

The fact that Carlton were 2-0 down and came back to win 3-2 is a massive positive in itself!

Patrocinio gave Nirvana the early advantage with 2 goals, one from the penalty spot, but two goals in quick succession from new signing Lawrence Gorman and last seasons leading goalscorer Danny Gordon meant the teams went in at the interval level, before young academy prospect Kyle Stovell scored the winner in the second half.

Next up for the Millers are away trips on Tuesday to Gedling Miners Welfare and next Saturday to Radford FC before the final home friendly on Saturday 6th August when Bamber Bridge are the visitors to Stoke Lane.
