New Carlton Town Press Officer Josh Hodgson was on fine form covering only his second game for the Millers and like the excellent James Morton before him, he has started his reign with some top notch interviews.

In a brilliant interview with former Notts County Captain Haydn Hollis (pictured), there was praise for the Millers defence and the pitch but more interestingly for Notts fans were his comments about Shaun Derry and his obvious sadness when he left the club and what followed, Notts fans will be boosted by his comments on John Sheridan who he clearly believes has brought the feel good factor back to Meadow Lane.

Hodgson also interviewed man of the match Jack Steggles and got the first ever interview with Carltons Kevin Lusamba which made for fascinating listening.

Notts County legend Mike Edwards was the second man to be interviewed from the away camp, who had praise for goalkeeper Jack Steggles and who is very much looking forward to his testimonial match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday 23rd July at Meadow Lane.

Carlton will be delighted with the part they played in the encounter with Notts and many Carlton fans having been in touch with the club to express their amusement at the brilliant Twitter updates from Stoke Lane from Nottingham Post reporter Leigh Curtis.

Most updates which have been retweeted by the Millers are about Legendry Carlton supporter Dennis who also happens to be a musician,  one supporter contacted the club to say, he normally as a trumpet as well but the club understands the trumpet is currently out of order.

This website understands that Carlton Chairman Mick Garton asked the drummer to move behind the other goal in the second half after a request from a Notts County fan, who was one of many sheltering from the rain in the MSR Newsgroup stand.

Dennis then positioned himself next to Mansfield Town duo Adam Murray and Richard Cooper who were watching the game, but the Mansfield town managers are known to be fans of his tunes and were dissapointed he was not at the weekend fixture against the Stags, well he certainly made up for it at this game and maybe they too needed a paracetamol along with Leigh Curtis!

Dennis does normally take a breath for a cigarette , but with having high ranking opponents , perhaps he thought that would be rude and when questioned by one Notts supporter, he did admit to being a follower of Notts County Ladies on a Sunday and that he had gone to Wembley with them a year or so back.

All Josh Hodgsons excellent interviews are on Millers Radio, just press the Audio boo tab towards the top right of the home page or press the play button from the updates on our Twitter feed.
