FANTASTIC TURNOUT AND EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS WITH FOREST STARS!

Over 650 people packed into the Bill Stokeld Stadium for the clubs first ever Fireworks Extravaganza and it is fair to say the majority went away with a smile on their face after an outstanding display from Big Bang Fireworks.

Cracking young band "Holly and the Outfit" set the tone with a great first set and excellent young DJ Alex Hummel provided support throughout the evening.

Nottingham Forest stars Chris Cohen and Britt Asombalonga both turned up with a smile on their face and were fantastic with fans posing for Photographs and signing Autographs in the corporate suite, they also spoke exclusivly to Millers Radio prior to the big display.

Fairground rides and stalls provided the backdrop to the main event and Carlton Chairman Mick Garton admitted the club were overwhelmed by the fantastic turnout.

"We were expecting between 400/500 given declared ticket sales on the Thursday night but we had a late rally on tickets on the Friday and a fair number paid on the gate which took us nearer to 700 which for our first ever event of this kind was amazing"

"I would like to say a big well done to Jamie and his team and all the Volunteers from within the club who worked so hard to make the event work and in particular to Commercial manager Brian Dennett"

" I apologise for the wait that people experienced in getting served in the build up to the Fireworks and we will endeavour to learn from that if we repeat the event next year, but we were caught out a little by numbers to be honest, it really was a great turnout "

"A big thankyou to Msr Newsgroup, April King Solicitors and Hickling and Squires for their much appreciated support"

"I would also like to thank the local Councillors who gave their support to this community event, to the family of Schools headed up by Julian Wilson, to top local photographer Andy Stokes, to the excellent band and to Nottinghamshire Forest and in particular John McGovern who arranged for 2 fine players and nice guys in Chris and Britt to come down and put the final touch to what was a very special evening"

The winning ticket in the evenings Raffle draw for hospitality for 2 people at Nottingham Forest was number 147 and the prize can be claimed by contacting Brian Dennett on 07979 647559.

James Mortons excellent interviews with Britt Asombalonga and Chris Cohen have been uploaded and are now on Millers Radio.
