CARLTON TOWN VANDALISED AGAIN!

CHUCK FOWLER SUITE TARGETTED!

Carlton Town finished a miserable week off by discovering their kitchen , office and Chuck Fowler Hospiltality suite had been broken into and vandalised during the weekend .

Carlton were knocked out of the Notts Senior cup last week in injury time by Basford United, had their Saturday away game cancelled due to the weather to increase their away game fixture backlog and then as the weekend came to an end ,found extensive damage had been caused once again at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.

Carlton have overcome a serious fire and a major break in at their Clubhouse in recent years and while this latest incident is not on that scale, it is a painfull reminder of what local sports clubs are up against in modern society despite being a force for good.

Carlton chairman Mick Garton met president Roger Smith and secretary Paul Shelton and other commitee members at the ground and was disgusted at the damage.

" I sometimes wonder about some of the people in society who profess to be human beings, I have never understood mindless morons and never will" said the Carlton Town chairman.

" This is a ground that provides a community facility, a not for profit organisation supported by cash from our commitee , fund raisers and volunteers but yet again ,people have took it upon themselves to come and smash things up, brilliant , a big well done to them!"

" I am down here on Friday doing a pool marathon to help raise money for the club , but now most of that will go on new doors, new locks and more security , a fantastic result! "

" I try to keep my chin up but I do wonder at times about the point of it all and why we al bother but if we give up , then that segment of society wins and the country becomes an ever poorer place "

Police are investigating the damage and the club are in the process of checking CCTV footage from the ground which will hopefully once again identify the culprits as it did previously when the perpetrators were jailed .
