CAPTAIN STEPS UP TO THE PLATE!

Carlton captain Martin Ball led the way for The Millers in this vital relegation zone battle at Stoke Lane on " Chuck Day " as the club celebrated the life of Chuck Fowler and his enormous contribution to Carlton Town.

Des Oldham produced a wonderfull Chuck tribute programme which sold out! 

Chairman Mick Garton sponsored the game and secretary Paul Shelton sponsored the match ball on this emotional day at Stoke  Lane and the management and players did not let Carlton down with a fine performance and a 3-1 win and most of the players and staff stopped behind for the clubs race night which followed the game .

Chucks ashes were scattered alongside Bill Stokelds in the goal mouth and the Board room was renamed "The Chuck Fowler Hospitality Suite"

There were speeches from chairman Mick Garton and Chucks close friend Jeppo before Chuck ashes were laid to rest and a 3-1 Carlton Town victory was exactly what the doctor ordered.

Chucks family and friends joined the Carlton Town Family for this memorable day when goals for Jamie Walker ,Alex Troke and Aaron Hootion saw The Millers home !

Jarred Holmes was signed prior to kick off  as the Millers attempt to turn their season round and Martin Ball for one could be proud of his performance ! 

Millers Radio spoke to Jamie Waker and Les Mcjannet before emotional captain Martin Ball spoke about the game and Chuck, he would have been proud today, proud indeed and everyone enjoyed the race night that followed ,the day had been a good one for The Millers and everyone gave Chuck a sad but wonderfull send off, we are sure he would have been looking down, having a sniff of snuff and smiling!

Chuck Fowler RIP and come on the town ,you will never be forgotten!
