Promotion Confirmed

An attendance of 587 was the second highest in Carlton Towns history as Notts County visited Stoke Lane for the first time in Carltons 111 year existence.

Carlton were delighted with the gate given the number of other friendlies The Magpies had played in recent days and with the weather also being kind to The Millers, there was a permanent queue at both the club cafe and clubhouse Sportsbar.

For the record The Millers went down 4-0 ,but will have gained a lot from playing Shaun Derrys side and the Magpies manager made a point of coming in the bar at the end with assistant manager Greg Abbott .

This website understands that there were many positives to come out of the night and the two clubs are set to work together in the future for mutual benefit.

The new look Carlton Town programme received rave reviews from supporters of both clubs and Des Oldham has set his standards high early doors indeed.

The club are believed to have sold a record number of programmes and coming after so many recent financial negatives, the club will be delighted at a night so full of positives.

Millers Radio was at the game and interviews with former Notts county youth player Alex Troke and our assistant manager and former Notts County striker and legend Iain McCuloch are now on line along with an interview with Carltons under 13s  successful manager "Jay" whose boys were guests of honour and ball boys for the Notts County clash!

On a separate note , pictures from the clubs "Day at the races" and Golf day" can now be found on the picture gallery section of this website!
